EDITORS MESSAGE It was only one short year. One out of two, or of a lifetime. But it was somehow special. Remember? An evening stroll to the river. . . a campus bathed in the beauty of autumn. . . splashing through a sudden shower. . . opened umbrellas clustered around a dormitory door . . . a stolen kiss behind the coatrack. . .spe- cial smiles across a study table. . .first flakes of snow. . .Christmas time. . .distant echos of a type writer down a darkened hall-way. . . a 7:30 class on a spring morning. . .nodding hellos to the same people at the same hour. . . lost in a flurry of faces. . . a familiar chair in a classroom. . .cigarettes and coffee. . .the sunbleached sandbars. . .finals. . .laughter and, yes. . .even tears. But now it is ail a memory, and memories fade with years.
