Present administration and classroom building. Dormitory and student center now under construction, fall 1965. Library and classroom building now in planning stage. Classroom building for future use. Physical Education building for future use. Available Bismarck Junior College Bismarck, North Dakota Formal dedication of the Milton and Norma Rue Arts Center took place on Sunday, November 8, 1964, in conjunction with an open house recognizing National Education Week. The generosity of the Rues is material evidence of the community aid and cooperation which has made BJC a pioneer in the junior college movement. One of the interior classrooms of our new wing evidences the aesthetic as well as the functional attributes contained in the whole. These additional facilities are inspirational and beneficial to both student and faculty. 2 This architect’s drawing of the new $625, 000, 106-unit dormitory is becoming a reality as construction is now underway on the BJC campus west of the present building. This new addition, situated on a bluff overlooking the Missouri River Valley, will be completed by the 1965 fall school term. Construction on the new dorm site began on Monday, October 12, 1964. We can follow the progress from our classroom windows, which gives our college population feelings of expansion and anticipation. Foreword To allow the world to revolve around us without creating a change within us would be to eliminate the purpose of our college. To grow in knowledge, in achievement, and in stature is our aim. To keep pace with educational demands, the facilities of the school must also constantly expand. The dormitory, presently under construction, is the present tangible evidence of such expansion. With ever-increasing dedication and perseverance, we, the students of Bismarck Junior College, are laying firmer foundations for future students. In practice, we are planning tomorrow today. They Mystics won the Mon-Dak conference title for the second straight year. BJC has never lost a conference game in the two-year history of the conference and has won twenty-four straight. The season was highlighted by a trip to the Fullerton, California, Holiday tournament in which the Mystics placed third. The Mystics averaged over eighty- five points a game and over ninety-five against conference opponents. The team scoring leaders were guard Ken Stigall, who averaged 18.8 points a game, and Bud Graham, who averaged 13. Graham and Larry Kleingartner led the team in rebounding. For the most part, the starting five consisted of sophomores Larry Kleingartner and Wayne Elhardt, along with freshmen Bud Graham, Ken Stigall, and Jerry Hein. 1964 All-Conference Darrell Miller 2nd Team Forward Hazen, N.
