Circle K and K-Dettes To serve, cooperate, develop citizenship, provide an opportunity for leadership training, render altruistic service --these are a few of the goals of the Bismarck Junior College Circle K club. Operating under the auspices of Circle K International and sponsored by Kiwanis Inter- national, the club carries on many service ac- tivities throughout the school year. Row 1 - Kyle Twaddle, Don Opp, Wesley Johnson, Charles Pudwill, Curtis Kuehn, Dave Luyben and Delmar Boehm. Row 2 - Allen Richter, Don Fischer, Gary Maddock, Lester Roller, Jim Oshanyk, Dennis Gartner, and Thomas Myster. Row 3 - Bruce Riedman.Gary Lahr, Don Fricke, Buddy Sing- leton, Rod Tjaden, Bill Kleven, Stanley Wentz, andCurtis Juhala. Club officers are - Dennis Gartner, vice-president; Charles Pudwill, treasurer; Gary Maddock, secretary; and Curtis Juhala, president. Row 1 - Mary Ann Goetz, Mary Ann Engelter, Elayne Saba, and Mary Jean Becker. Row 2 - Jean Teskey, Lavonn Boehm, PatSym, Maxine Tebelius, Jacquelin Padilla, and Elizabeth Mickelson. Row 3 - Linda Swanson, Mary Kay Gallagher, Cletus Reis, Beth Sather, Sherry Brower, Sandy Johnson, and Linda Kanan. Row 4 - Karen Anderson, Jeanne Schroedl, ;■ Jean Danroth, Daphne Morman, Karen Moore, PatriciaLeni- han, Maureen Bryant, Carol Becker, and Peggy Anderson. Assisted by the K-Dettes, the women's counterpart, Circle K sponsored the 1960 Homecoming dance. In February, the K- Dettes also sponsored the Valentine dance. Both groups are familiar sights as ushers and usherettes at most of the college pro- grams and athletic events. K-Dettes officers are - Mary Jean Becker, secretary; Jeanne Schroedl, student council representative; Elayne Saba, president; Carol Becker, vice- president; and Jean Danroth, treasurer. 21

Baptist Student Union BSU members are, Row 1 - Merle Rivinus, Ralph Jose, VivianDirkach, Marlys Dirkach, and Darlene Velenchenko. Row 2 - Donna Rivinius, Sharon Cain, Dianna Wetzel, Sharon Erickson, Delores Walker, and Flossie Walker. Row 3 - Alwin Bertsch, Dave Hahn, Rev. Harold G. Fields, advisor, and Jim Oshanyk. Newly organized this year for all Baptist students, the Baptist Student Union meets the third Monday of every month. Each meeting consists of a study period during which stu- dents or one of the three pastors of the Bis- marck Baptist churches speaks, a recreation- period, and lunch. Officers are - Dave Halm, devotional chair- man; Marlys Dirkach, secretary; Jim Oshan- yk, recreational chairman; Sharon Erickson, president; and Darlene Velenchenko, vice- president. Wesley Fellowship Featuring food, fellowship, and devotions, the Wesley Fellowship meets every other Sun- day for a supper meeting at the McCabe Meth- odist Church. Highlighting the year was the study of religions of the world. Wesley Fellowship is open to Methodist students and all other students not affiliated with other church organizations. Wesley Fellowship members are - O.S. Tomlin, advisor; Dyvonne Erickson, Mary Jean Becker, Josephine Patzner, Leona Shimin. (seated), Mrs. O.S. Tomlin, advisor; Isador Glosser, and Jerald Hoesel. 20

Under the direction of Jane Gray Smith, this year's Collegiate Players produced Death Takes a Holiday and Harvey. The sec- ond annual Variety Show and four one-act plays also were the pro- ducts of the efforts of the Players.
