I. E. (ESKY) SOLBERG is the head of the political science, econo- mics, and government departments. Esky received his B. A. from Mi- not State Teachers College and his M.S, from the University of North Dakota. He has also attend- ed the Universities of Missouri, Washington, and Wisconsin. RUTH GANNON teaches English and Spanish. She received her B.A. from the College of Emporia and her M.A. from Mexico City College. Mrs. Gannon also at- tended George Washington Uni- versity and the University of North Dakota. WESLEY WILSON, teaching his- tory at BJC, attended the United States Military Academy at West Point where he obtained his B.S. degree. The Colonel re- ceived his M.A. degree at the University of Maryland. He has also attended the University of Colorado. WILLIAM CHAFFEE heads the chemistry and physics departments at BJC. Mr. Chaffee, who re- ceived his B.S. from Jamestown College, has also attended the Universities of California and Colorado, Michigan State Uni- versity, and MIT. WILLIAM GARVER teaches English, psy- chology, and journal- ism. He received his B.A. at the State Uni- versity of Montana and his M.A. from the Uni- versity of Southern California. Mr. Gar- ver also attended Port- land State College and Washington State.

HENRY W. (WOODY) WILSON heads up the biology and nurses' training departments at BJC. Woody received hisB.A. at James- town College and his M.S. at the University of Minnesota. He also attended Concordia College and the University of Montana. GEORGE LAWLER specializes in chemistry and mathematics. Cap- tain Lawler received both his B. A. and M. S. degrees from the Uni- versity of North Dakota. ROLAND REICH, who is in charge of guidance and counseling, and education, received his B.S. from Wisconsin State Teachers College and his M.Ed. from Montana State University. He then attend- ed the University oi Minnesota, and recently acquired his Ph.D. at the University of Wyoming. LOIS ENGLER, librarian at BJC, attended the University of North Dakota where she received her B.A. She also received a B.L.S at the University of Wisconsin. Heading the English de- partment is DORIS ORR. Mrs. Orr received her B.A. degree at James- town College. She al- so attended the Univer- sity of Minnesota and Simmons College of Boston.

MARVIN STENSETH, who is in charge of attendance, received his B.S. at Minot State Teachers College and his M.Ed. at the University of North Dakota. Mr. Stenseth also attended the Univer- sity of Oslo. JOSEPH ROSSI, heading BJC’s music department, obtained his B.A. at St. John’s University, M.Ed. at DePaul University, A. A. at Mt. Angel College, and his Ph.D. at Metropolitan Univer- sity. JANE GRAY SMITH, speech and dramatics instructor, received her B.A. at Minot State Teachers College. She also attended NBC Radio Institute, American Acad- emy of Dramatics, and North- western University. ALICE HANSEN, head of the business education department, attended Minot State Teachers College where she received her B.A. She also attended the University of Montana and the University of North Dakota. PAUL SWANSON, head of the mathematics department, received his B.A. at Jamestown College and hisM.S. at the University of North Dakota. Mr. Swanson also attended Concordia College, the University of Kansas, and the University of Montana.
