Lettermen’s Qub The Lettermen's Club is organized by award winners in football, basketball, and track for the purpose of raising funds to purchase jackets for the members. This is done mainly through sponsorship of school dances, raffles, and taking charge of the concessions at BJC home basketball games. Also, part of their funds was raised this year by helping to move the merchandise of the J.C.Penney's Store into their new location. Another of their varied activities is taking charge of Kangaroo Court for Hobo Daze. Officers: D. Dwyer, Vice-President; E. Agre, Treasurer; K. Hilligoss, President.

King Chuck Wilson and Queen Patsy Manly are crowned by J. F. McGurren, President, Bismarck Chamber of Commerce at halftime of the Homecoming Game Student Association President Harry Falconer stands by with the other royal crown. Hobo Daze BJC’s Homecoming festivities are celebrated in a hobo daze. The annual affair begins several weeks in ad- vance when the Letterman’s Club puts down the rules and regulations for the two days. No shaving, no makeup, no combing of hair are just a few of the rules which each student must abide by, or else! One of the highlights of this celebration is the rag-clad hobos wending their ways through the streets of Bismarck in a most roustabout manner. Following this comes the Kangaroo Court which is held on one of the main corners in downtown Bismarck. It’s here where punishment is administered to all the uncooperative bums. After this display of Skulduggery, the undignified hobos tramp their way back to the school for the handout feast. The big event of the day is the football game atwhich, during the half, the King and Queen of the hobos are crowned to reign over their tattered subjects. In the evening these battered hobos come out in all their pomp and splendor for the homecoming celebration dance. Pages Eunice Johnson and Massud Tejaratchi flash their royal smiles as they show their appreciation of Hobo Daze.
