IN MEMORIAM MR. H. 0. SAXVIK 1879-1952 The students and faculty of Bismarck Junior College shall long remember Mr. H. O. Saxvik as a great leader in education. During his administration as superintendent of Bismarck schools this city’s educational system was greatly expanded and improved. In addition to his work with the elementary and high schools, Mr. Saxvik was one of the founders of Bismarck Junior College and was instrumental in its early success. To perpetuate her late husband’s interest in the Junior College and its library, his widow, Mrs. H. O. Saxvik, has established a memorial fund for the support of good literature in the college. MR. GEORGE M. REGISTER 1871-1951 We, the members of the 1952 graduating class, wish to honor the memory of Mr. George M. Register. Mr. Register, one of the founders of Bismarck Junior College, was also one of its principal enthusiastic supporters, As a member of the College Board of Directors, he fostered public interest in the new college. Through his unselfish expenditure of both time and money, Mr. Register aided materially in establishing this college upon a firm foundation. DR. JULIUS O. ARNSON 1888-1946 We of the graduating class of Bismarck Junior College respect- fully honor the late Dr. Julius O. Arnson. Dr. Arnson was noted as a friend of youth. Through his quiet aid many young people have been helped. After Dr. Arnson’s death his brother, Dr. J. M. Arnson, established a substantial loan fund as a memorial to aid Junior College students. Through this loan fund and a scholarship fund, a portion of the estate of Dr. Arnson is being used to continue the aid to young people which the doctor extended during his lifetime. 6
