Now, sit back, relax, and enjoy the unfolding of your school year. Theme 3 ... And Unfolds ... And Unfolds ... 4 Theme Mrs. Sharp’s Career Orientation Class makes fudge to sell in their Fudge Factory. ... And Unfolds ... And Unfolds ... Theme 5 In Memoriam THE SCENT OF ROSES Let Fate do her worst; there are relics . of joy, Bright dreams of the past, which she cannot destroy; Which come in the night-time of sorrow and care, And bring back the features that joy used to wear. Long, long be my heart with such memories filled, Like the vase in which roses have once been distilled — You may break, you may shatter the vase if you will, But the scent of the roses will hang round it still. - Thomas Moore Marilyn Steier Born: December 13, 1968 Died; June 17, 1984 Earl Matlock Born: February 11, 1912 Died: November 4, 1984 6 In Memoriam Administration Dr. Frank Mitchell, Superintendent Board of Education: Front row, left to right; Wayne Hughes; Gerald Bunn, Vice-President; Kenneth Bray, President; Back row; Wynona Lambert; D. Seniors During the spring semester, seniors begin to get a look of panic in their eyes. They run around typing resumes, setting up job interviews, applying for scholarships, filling out job applications, or just trying to finish up on their schooling. As always, some of the seniors know where they are headed, others don’t. But a common feeling that runs among all seniors is anticipation mixed with a little sadness. I enjoyed a very good year with the Senior Lions. Our record was 25 wins and 6 losses. Some of the major highlights are: beating Mt. Pine, winning the Murfreesboro tournament, bringing home the 7A-North Conference Title and the District Title, and playing in the finals of the State Regionals and advancing to the Class A State Final 8 at Harrison. This year has been a rewarding season that I will cherish forever. I am thankful for the opportunity to be associated with players who have such a desire to be winners. Sr. Girls Journey to State The Bismarck Girls Basketball Program will be a positive factor in the girls conference for some time. Both teams worked hard and learned what it takes to be a winner. The Sr. Girls had a definite turn around from last season. Starting the year with only three seniors, they erased any doubt of what was going to happen this year. Defeating teams like AAAA — El Dorado, top-seated Blevins, Jessieville, Smackover, and Foreman, they placed second in the HSU Tournament, District Tournament, and SW Regional Tournament. Senior Mindy Roush and sophomore Vicki Richerson were both named to the All-District and All-Region teams. The girls finished the season with a loss to the State Champions, ending the year with 20 wins and 9 losses. Decisions!
