They met regularly to carry out the business of the Bismarck School District. These men have given their valuable time and knowledge to help Bismarck move forward and develop into what we feel is an outstanding educational institute. Traditions Remain As The 1970-71 Yesteryear Staff chose B.H.S. On The Move” as our theme for this year's book. We, as everyone else, realize time is moving and things have to change, but we hold dear a few things called traditions. Perhaps the most important tradition at Bismarck is making true and lasting friendships, not only with our peers but also with our teachers who help keep that valuable tradition learning ever growing in our minds. Basketball and football are traditions we are very proud of. Without sports B.H.S. would be somewhat lacking. The first basketball games Bismarck participated in were played on outside courts sometime in the early 1930's.
