' rf' GIRLS ' PHYSICAL ED UGA T10 One, two, three, four -up and down stretch our gymnastic gals. It seems easy today, but oh-the morning after! Exercising right along with them is Miss Bashara with her Armyflike Fall in command flung at a long line of stragglers. Also, there's nothing like a rough, rousing game of basketball to put Donna in good spirits-even when it is refereed by our mild gym 4ff's. On Monday a fascinatin' fun fest is featured in the basement. You can brush up on your jitterbugging or try your luck at a game of checkers or ping-pong. How could we ever overlook those strengthfsubtracting relay races? If you think it's easy, we suggest that you try to crawl in an upsidefdown crawling position from one end of the floor to the other at top speed. Conhdentially, though we grumble and groan, we really go for gym-in a big way! .W ff SARA BASHARA Tu cn: y,

AGRICUL TURE E. j, Scmzum 'iLearning to dog doing to learng earning to liveg living to serve. This is the swell motto of vocational agriculture, taught in B.H.S. to some of Danny's best friends by Mr. Schrum. These moofminded fellows have gained much valuable knowledge of livestock this year. This, they proudly tell us, is necesf sary in order that a boy can manage a farm Con his own D in the most modern way. If you've detected a steady pounding rising from the basement, you are no doubt listening to some ag student hammering away on a sweep rake for a farm carpentry projedt. Or maybe he is repairing some vital equipment-Cor vice versa on his Hrst try D. Nevertheless, with brains plus brawn one can learn the inside dope of farm training. To these boys, who all are Future Farmers of America, we say good luck and good farming! Our state needs you. vfo

BOYS' PHYSICAL EDUCATIO L'Sock him, Danny! This familiar cry issues forth from the boys' gym room accompanied by cheers for the winner of one of the much talked of boxing matches. These rugged athletes are coached by Mr. Charles Atlas Denton who seems to enjoy the slaughters as much as his boys. Basketball is another favorite with these fastfmoving youths. just watching one of these games is a task in itself, let alone trying to referee. Don't think the boys don't perform more than their share of musclefbuilding exercises too! To be able to brag that you can maneuver fortyfeight pushfups makes up for the broken back acquired while doing them. Wrestling and tumbling are two more difficult sports to be conquered daily in these gym classes. We're sure that many a physical weakling who passed through the phyfed doors this fall will emerge next spring as young Charlie Atlases. C. T. DENTON vny-ahve:
