I D USTRIAL ART MARSHALL Munnocn T. E, Smut JOHN HEINLE Dit, dit, dit-fda, da, daffdit dit dit, resounds through the basement where Mr. Heinle teaches radio. These code calculators not only operate but also make radio sets. The complicated blueprints for them are astutely assembled by the miraculouslyfminded mechanical drawing class. Danny Demon discovers Mr. Murdoch attempting to form a Rosie the Riviteru out of every hammer' hound in his class. Not only do they weld and do metal work, but they, just as neatly, practice to be carpenters. If there are ever any stage sets to be mend' ed or bond booths to be made, these boys are ready to oblige and raring to go! The fellows who are really busy during any sport season are our printers, under Mr. ujust call me Sim Simle's able direction. They print tickets galore for all athletic games and also will accommodate Cwith a smilelj anyone requesting dance tickets, etcetera. So to the boys of radio, shop, mechanical drawing, and printing, we sayffmore power to you! T L

HOME ECO OMICS Lois ANDuRs1zN MABBL ANGVALL Ummmmmm! What is that luscious odor floating up to the second floor? Danny and a few other of us hungry seniors followed it down to the basement where we found Donna and the home ec gals canning pheasants. Ah!-to be one of the favored boys who is allowed to snitch a delicious morsel. Exploring this neat new department we discovered forty gals fighting for seven sewing machines to complete their weird patterned pajamas. We looked at the plans the house wives of tomorrow have drawn up for an ideal home with my ideal man. We saw one girl planning a laundry in which one would need only to press a simple button to have the machine, soap, and water all go into action at once-from different corners of the room. Our advice to the lucky man is that for safety's sake he should steer clear of the basement on washdays. Teaching the Hrst year is Mrs. Angvall while Miss Andersen teaches the advanced food and frock fixers. cn

AGRICUL TURE E. j, Scmzum 'iLearning to dog doing to learng earning to liveg living to serve. This is the swell motto of vocational agriculture, taught in B.H.S. to some of Danny's best friends by Mr. Schrum. These moofminded fellows have gained much valuable knowledge of livestock this year. This, they proudly tell us, is necesf sary in order that a boy can manage a farm Con his own D in the most modern way. If you've detected a steady pounding rising from the basement, you are no doubt listening to some ag student hammering away on a sweep rake for a farm carpentry projedt. Or maybe he is repairing some vital equipment-Cor vice versa on his Hrst try D. Nevertheless, with brains plus brawn one can learn the inside dope of farm training. To these boys, who all are Future Farmers of America, we say good luck and good farming! Our state needs you. vfo
