Rallies Push On Desire Supported by hoardes of screeching fans, Timon's school spirit evolved to an indomitable level. The open- ing rally was an exciting prelude to the opening football game against O'I-Iara High. Timon took its opener twenty- four to zip! The following rallies were just as thrilling as the first one. Several skits were done by members of the B.T.P.A. Also on the spirit-raising agenda was a motorcade of twenty-five cars including representatives of each class. The basketball season brought out true Timon spirit as the Bengals' performances brought on cheers and plaudits from capacity crowds. This unequalled spirit spurred Timon's athletes on to another great year.

Cultural Assemblies Offered Working to improve the cultural aspects of the Timon stu- dent life. Father Kevin Flynn arranged a series of assemblies running for approximately ten weeks. Exciting plays such as Volpone and intriguing stories of the suffering of the Negro in America have delighted Timon audiences. Typical was a rock type assembly in which certain seniors overcame their inhibitions by dancing with the performers on the stage. Also included was a production by the National Theatre Company of Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller. Another highlight of these happenings was Oedipus Rex by the National Players Company in which the story of a Greek king unfolds. An added attraction was the attendance at periodic intervals of Mount Mercy High School. 1 G l
