The Spring season was highly successful. as Timon went on to win every match. bringing their total to 19 straight wins. The turning point of the season came when Timon defeated Canisius in an overtime match. The score was tied six all after the regulation I8 holes. It took three more holes before the duet of Joe Purcell and Mike Snajczuk came through to beat their opponents. Two Timonites received All-Catholic positions-Joe Purcell and Jake Pfister. The Fall season was not so successful. Timon started out on the right foot by defeating St. Francis ll-1. Then two straight loses to St. Joe's and Canisiusjust about put an end to any possibility of Timon repeating as champs for the third straight year. Timon closed out the season with a victory over Baker-Victory-95-ZW. Again Jake Pfister came through as the big gun and took an All- Catholic berth. Dennis HOCkIIIIllh shows Ihe form am1'poi.ve thai varmfrz' him his All-Catholic raling. The bowling season started early this year with the team getting off to a bad start losing two of its first four matches. At this point Timon made its move on Baker Victory who was in first place, with St. Mary's of Lan- caster following closely behind. These three teams matched each other almost game for game so that the champion- ship was decided in the last match of the season when Timon met St. Mary's who had replaced Baker Victory as the league leaders. Being two games out of first place Timon needed a three game sweep over St. Mary to take the crown. After winning the first game of the series the Timon keglers ran into a bad streak and drop the crucial game of the season. Some of the outstanding men on the bowling team were Capt. Paul Hoffman and Dennis Hochmuth, both ofthe All-Catholic Team and Dan Hurley who placed second in the All-Catholic Tournament. BOWLING Timon's Bowling Team+Kneeling: D. Hockmurh, P. Hoffman, J.
