f Av As you read the account of the l959 season in the following pages you will of necessity wonder how a team that has lost three straight games could come back and win the next four in succession. The answer to that is simple. the team knew they were better than the record of their first three games indicated. Being possessed of the right outlook. that the past is past and it is the future that counts. they went on to prove themselves. It is easy to be proud ofa winning team. but you can be doubly proud of a team that has been counted out of the race but yet picks itself up from the grime of defeat and proves its real worth. No better compliments can be paid a high school student than the fact that he has now become a man and the 1959 Varsity Football Team of Timon be- came men by the courage and the desire they showed on the football field. A good man-a real man--can never be held down. Thishne turnout of Tirnonfans at the St. Joe's game gave evidence to the fact that the spirit among the rooters was as high as the spirit among the team. CARRIED THE COLORS . . J. Ryan, Mgr. J.
