J s Ever since its origin in 1948 the Mother's Club has be- come one of the more prominent social organizations of the school. This year the club under the skillful super- vision of Father Lorcan has risen to greater heights than ever before in its membership. One of the major objects of the Mother's Club is to have the mothers meet the faculty and by taking part in club activities to take an active part in their son's school. There have been regular monthly meetings to which all the mothers were invited and at these meetings guest speakers have attended and have entertained and in- formed the members. Other social activities that have always proved popular have been the annual Christmas party, the Living Rosary and the Communion breakfast. This year the club under the presidentship of Mrs. Wilson has again been not only an active one but a very bene- ficial one for Timon High. MOTHER'S CLUB K Idsf? Being organized in 1947. the Father Club at Bishop Timon has proven itself many times over to be one ofthe most rewarding organizations ever started at the school. Each year the Father's Club goes all out to obtain out- standing personalities in the field of sports to entertain at their annual Sports Night . lt is through their efforts that the numerous athletic teams receive the best uni- forms and equipment available. The Father's Club also sponsors the annual Father-Son Communion Breakfast. which is an event that is always looked forward to by both the students and the fathers alike. This year under their new moderator, Fr. Timothy, they have more than lived up to expectations. The monthly meetings have taken a new turn in that guest speakers have been invited each month to give a special- ized talk. Among some of the speakers were Dr. G. O'Brien, a noted authority on cancerg Sargent M. Amico, a narcotic's expert and others. These talks have proven not only enjoyable but educational. The Fathers at Timon are not only proud of their sons, but the sons can be proud of what their Fathers have accomplished. FATHER'S CLUB Fr.
