Once again Timon has been presented with an illus- trious yearbook, through the hard work and talent of Editor, David Keller and his staff. With the help of Fr. Gordian, they have presented a composite picture of another school year at Timon. The job ofthe Talisman workers was by no means an easy one. Early in September they were at work preparing the layout for the annual. They designated the specific pictures they wanted on each page, according to the rules of balance, variety and unity. After this they had to ob- tain the suitable pictures from the photographers and finally write the articles and caption the pictures in each section. Once all the sections were completed, they had to be joined into a well coordinated book and sent to the printers. This year the Talisman has made a major change by adopting color pictures into the book. They have tried their best to offer a good yearbook. their only reward will be the students whole hearted acceptance. This was accom- plished by presenting the best possible stories of school news, sporting events, humor, and countless other fea- tures essential to information of the student. Editor Paul Rudnicki's staff strove to provide the best in interesting as well as factual editions. In March of this year, the senior members of the edi- torial board journeyed to New York City for the annual Columbia University Press Convention. Editors Mc- Mahon, Rudnicki, and Burke enjoyed the sights of the city as well as attending the various conferences designed to further their journalistic knowledge. The entire staff was present at the St. Bonaventure Press Day, held in the Spring. The Tidings has been a constant winner at both of these competitions. The fine work of both editors and contributors, under the 1960 Moderators, Fr. Norbert and Mr. Chambers, is the main reason why the Tidings continued its award- winning tradition this year.
