The gun has just sounded and they are of in the dash at St. ,Ioe's. The Timon Outdoor Track Team ended a successful year finish- ing a respectable second in the All-Catholic Meet. This traditional meet, which is held every year at the University of Buffalo, saw Timon edged out by only a few points at the hands of Canisius. Canisius was Timon's stumbling block as they were the only team to best the Timon Harriers during the League Meets. But 1958 was a year of records for the Harriers. Three league records were accredited to the Cindermen. In the All-Catholic Meet Tom Ryan set a new record for the mile run, and equally impressive was Bruce Shaver's new broad-jump record in the same meet. During the regular season a new high jump record was set by ,lim Cainey. Three new records and a second place in the All- Catholic Meet is something to be proud of.
