I n Larry Carr is about to be upended as he tries an end around sweep. Fallon downed the inexperienced Tigers in their debut 20-0. The Southsiders were caught off guard in the opening minutes of play as a Fallon defender stole the ball and raced into the end zone for the score. The Flyers added another quick tally and Timon never recovered. The Tigers showed much improvement as they trounced St. Francis of Athol Springs 35-0. Jack Courtney's two touchdowns, a Carr to Guest pass, Garry Gill's six pointer, and Johnny Mann's skirt around end provided Timon's offensive surge. Timon played their most gratifying game of the season against Canisius as they handed the Crusaders a 25-7 setback. Larry Carr threw a 20 yard pass for Timon's first touchdown. The Bengals second counter came when Carr tossed a 30 yard pass to Guest who was stopped on the five yard line before lateraling to Courtney who scampered over for the score. Mueller added Timon's only extra point. After Canisius' lone touchdown Guest made a sensational twisting catch of a Carr pass and raced to his second six pointer. On the next kickoff Larry Gresvinsky recovered a fumble in the end zone to account for the final score. Al Stalone is brought down by St. NIary's of Lancaster defender after a considerable gain. . The- Nlarauders scored all their points in the lirst half as they won freely over the 'l'imon defense. October 26th marked 'l'imon's second hearthrealter of the season. St. Nlary's revovered a fumble deep in 'liimon territory and quickly seored for a 6-0 lead. Nlurray Regan returned the kickoff to his own 43 yard line. The running of lialinowslti and the Carr to Guest combination brought the ball to the 8 yard line where ,lack Court- ney raced around end to tie the- score 6-6. ,lust three plays later St. Marys scored again on a lilly yard pass play. This proved costly as thc gridders went down by the slender margin of I2-6. The loss dropped 'l'imon,s record to a meager 2 wins and three losses.
