As a result, the team fin- ished the season with a 2-1 record. In the opening fight Timon survived a shaky first inning and then buried Fallon under a 16-3 deluge. The second win of the campaign re- sulted from an avengeful spirit among the Timon players who wished to overcome the only team which defeated them the previous year . . . St. Francis. The win came by an 8-4 rhargin. Canisius was responsible for the only reverse, a score of 4-0, behind the four hit pitching of Paul Andrewski. The team then prepared for the crucial game against St. Joe's. The squads fought nip and tuck for ten innings before the Saints took the upper hand in the 11th inning. A single and a triple, back to back scored the run which pushed Timon out of first place. Jack O'Connor is nailed at the plate in a battle at Cazenouia Park. Paul Alico smashes one back during practice at Cazenouia Park. TENNIS A new sport was added to Timon's ever- growing athletic program last year. The Timon Tennis Team made its initial appearance, and although the overall team record was not high, it set a foundation upon which future teams can be built. Individuals played an important part in this eventful season. Two victories were posted over Notre Dame, while defeats were suffered at the hands of Canisius, Fallon, St. Joe's and Duffy.
