Tired harriers await the return trip from Delaware. Starter's gun sends Timon runners off to a flying start. In the regular season competition the Tigers buried the majority of their opponents. St. Joe's fell victim 15-49 while St. Mary's was overcome 15-74. Fallon presented the South- Siders a greater problem but nevertheless Went down 19-40. In this meet, Ryan crossed the line first with Tom Russell second, Gary Thi- bault third, Mike Russert fifth and Bill Linder eighth. The big event of the year came in the form of an invitation to the Inter-Scholastic cross country meet in Syracuse. Once more Tom Ryan made a name for himself as he broke the old record for the course. In this event the Timon squad finished second with Tom Russell finishing 6th and Chet Cooley placing 7th. The Timon B team led by Mike Blest came in fourth. Timon tuned up for the All-Catholic Meet by posting easy victories over Canisius and St. Joe's. All-Catholic Dick Klass shows the strain of victory. Tom Russell followed by Dick Willard help bring another victory to the Tigers.

Tom won the All-Catholic meet hands down in the record shattering time of 13:58.6, almost a full minute in front of Bill Flynn of the Canisius squad. Another Timon star, Dick Klass placed fourth in the big race which the South-Siders went on to win 27-47 over Canisius and by far more over the other schools.
