David, again conducting the weekly meetings of the Chess Club, has provided its members with a busy schedule for the season. An addition to the club has been made in Owen Miller, who was appointed head coach. He established a set of rules for playing and feels they will greatly improve proficiency in the game. 1 Timon Caballeros, formed by Mr. Mario, entertain spectators during half-time of a fall football game. MUSIC The band, numbering about forty members, started as a drum and bugle corps about four years ago. But thanks to Father Matthew and Mr. Mario, founders of the organization, The Caballeros have become one of the better marching bands in the Buffalo area. One of the objectives of The Caballeros is the fostering of school spirit. They have certainly accomplished this in the past few years. At the football and basketball games students gather 'round the band which forms the center of our rooting section. M HADIU it 4 J SEIE EE Team efforts in Chemistry and Physics produced the data for developing a solid fuel rocket, this year's goal for the club. The Biology division conducted re- search into Physiology. The use of films dealing with different phases of science, Held trips to local industry and lectures by men working in several fields of science were activities held by the club throughout the year. Having earned their license from the F.C.C. they joined M.A.R.S. lMilitary Affiliate Radio Systemj. Under the able direction of Fr. David Reddy, this club has grown by leaps and bounds. Every member is doing something from actual Broadcasting to the building of radio circuits. Next time you hear that cool hum on your radio you'll know it's WZQZR, Timon's radio club broadcasting over the air waves. I don't know the answer off hand, Gentlemen, says P.
