ll'1OliCf'flf0I' Fr. Aicuin and Editor Ed ffuddilz-v work d1'l1'g1'11rlAx' on om of the varied problems of preparing The Tidings. THE TIHI ES The Tidings. Timon's official news organ. has been a constant source of school informa- tion, sports. humor and human interest since we entered the school as Freshmen. Under the capable direction of Moderators Father Alcuin and Mr. Chambers. Ed Cuddihy and his staff have continued to produce an award winning publication. In March the editors of The Tidings and Father Alcuin journeyed to New York City where they participated in the annual Colum- bia Scholastic Press Convention and enjoyed the sights of the big city. Our paper received the Medalist award at this conference. Later in the Spring the entire staff attended the St. Bonaventure University Press Day in Olean. New York. A number of our staff merited awards in news, features and photography. The main purpose of The Tidings is to pre- sent school news to the student body in a factual yet interesting style. Undoubtedly this has been accomplished and was evident to the judges of the national and area press confer- ences. The Tidings continues to add awards and honors to the many that have already been received. C 0,1 it l'frl1I11r111f itllflflll l7lt'I'f.N 11'1'fh Fr.
