The Talisman of 1958 wishes to center your attention on the hub of a wheel, which represents the Student Senate of Bishop Timon High School. Every wheel has spokes and in our representation these are the various classes, homerooms, activities and sports that make our school hum. The rim of our wheel is made up of the student body. To work as a unit, all parts-rim, spokes and hub, must operate as one. To make our school hum with profitable activity, to make it a school where the students are not only in the school but also of the school is the purpose of the Student Senate. Our Student Senate, authorized and encouraged by the FACULTY, co-ordinates student ACTIVITIES, stimulates support of ATHLETICS, and represents the UNDER- CLASSES. This united effort has produced a spirit which has made Bishop Timon High School respected and honored. We present, in the following pages, our school year. You will see for yourself how a school with so many varied opportunities for its students can create a unity of pur- pose. It is this unity which changes good Catholic boys into better Christian men. Understanding the purposes of the Student Senate and cooperating with its pro- gram will produce better students, enlightened citizens, more militant Christians. Thus our GRADUATES are prepared to take their place in the community and to pro- vide it with intelligent Christian LEADERSHIP.
