HE ATHLETIC Program at Ryan is a regular part of the school curriculum. It develops fast thinking and enthusiastic competition. It also stresses good sports- manship and fair play not only among players but spec- tators too. XVith these principles in mind the Rams have excelled on and off court. In basketball, bowling and base- ball, they became Champions of their respective leagues. They have also compiled an impressive record in football. Along with the Varsity sports, ,lay Vee, Freshman, and Intramural teams help to give the Ryan student a pattern to live-play the game as best you can, take your victory in stride, but don't let defeat keep you down. J. VVisner, captain of the Foxy Five, accepts the trophy for the co-champ- ions of the Bishop Burke Division.
