CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS IT IS A fact proven from experience that knowledge is DOI gained in the classroom alone. Other forms of intellectual enrich- ment, such as social contact with others and individual research and experimentation, are also essential to the development of a well-rounded personality. This desire to educate a diversified man has been the basis for all extra-curricular activities made available at Bishop Ryan. By providing the student with a variety of clubs, the school gives him an opportunity to learn things which cannot come from a teacher's lecture in the classroom. These clubs are both secular and spiritual in purpose, for it is realized that each one needs both types to complement his personality and to cor- relate them wisely with the plans and will of God.
