These men and women have donated hundreds of hours and raised thousands of dollars in behalf of the effort to keep the doors of this school open. Their generosity is reflected in gleaming new microscopes, fresh coats of paint, foot- ball ierseys, gymnastic equipment, wrestling mats, and countless hundreds of other essential equipment. Perhaps we could have turned for inspiration to some outstanding leader, some graduate or friend who stands respected for a worthwhile reason. But we, the students of Ryan, feel deeply indebted to, and proudly dedicate MITRE i972 to - THE RYAN ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION 20 fn, 4- s ly K RW. The Class of '72 led the way in academics as well as athletics. Headed by the Seniors, the Student Council planned the successful Homecoming festivities. Seniors also headed the Honor Society. Yes, '72 has led in academics and athletics, but also in fun and good humor. No other class greets teachers with chest-breakers. And what other class fills the gym with as much spirit as the Class of '72? '72 will truly leave its mark at Ryan. Ready for the world, full of ambition, the Class of '72 is grateful to the staff, students and Adminis- tration for a successful year at Ryan! Remember '72 The faces we see here . It was a colorful, exciting, and fast mov- ing musical. The action starts on July 4, 1878, when George, the Yankee Doodle Kid, was born and covers sixty years of his life. Determined to make Broadway with the Five Cohans, George had trouble at first, then scored with Little Johnny Jones with its noted song Give My Regards to Broad- way. More fabulous songs followed that made Cohan a legend. Then George's beloved Broadway changed. But George proved he still had what it took to win the audiences over.
