The student council regulates the activities ofthe school and sponsors Homecoming. 012014 'away Ryan's Chapter of the National Honor Society was organized last year, The members are chosen on the basis of grades, character, leadership, and participation. 600 Qc J Of' goof Spiritual reading was done during spare time in the chapel. Father Albert Leary and Father William Rushford gave the high school retreat. Their use of personal experiences made the retreat interesting and profitable for the students. Father Leary closed the retreat with Bene- diction of the Blessed Sacrament. Before Benediction, Father Rushford gave the Papal Blessing, which entitles us to a plenary in- dulgence. Students recited the rosary twice a day with much fervor. 8

U. , assistant moderator, devote many hours to the Sodalists. fl I K ,vu -ggcvdflyfvv The Sodalists' Christmas Season project was helping a needy family in the area. The girls brought food, clothing and toys. Our 'Santa Claus, Father Robert Williams, delivered the gifts to the surprised children. The Sodality officers, Karen Bohn, Sharon Stammen, Mary Brunner and Connie Mouck are with their dates at the Sodality formal. The theme for the formal was Moon River. Jean Schilken and Elaine Schwegman take the library cart around at St. Ioseph's hospital. The Sodalists also help the nurses in pediatrics by entertaining the children.
