Father Keppler, our special Junior, accepts his ring from Class President Tricey Reilly. A symbol . . . of peace, justice and truth for everyone. Lois McNiff and Mary Therese Palmeri survey their symbol of seniority. Juniors and their escorts dance to the music of Jason Garfield CJudy DiCarIo, Barbara Collinsj Junior year reached its climax as the Class of '71 received their Senior rings on May 15, 1970. The day commenced with a Nlass cele- brated by Fr. Keppler. Distribution of rings followed and breakfast concluded the morn- ing's celebration. A semi-formal set to theme of Gone with the Wind enhanced the evening. The Jason Garfield provided the music.

Chris Altman proudly displays the Letter that designates her as one of the nation's best. l l l On behalf of the Markings '70 staff, Pat Walker accepts the N.S.Y.A. yearbook plaque. ' ' Newly-awarded Spanish medals are the object of admiration for Andrea Caramore and Rosemary Menechino. Deserving Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors received recognition on Award's Day, October 30, 1970. During the morning ceremony, which took place in the auditorium, S.A.C. officers presented numerals, letters and shields. G.A.A. officers awarded shields and pins. Eighteen Seniors received National Merit Letters of Commendation. Not to be forgotten were the achievements attained by students in the areas of fine arts, forensics and language.
