Above: Neil Peoohey oliligohtly studies his Frehoh homework. The Foreign Language Department has grown tremendously over the years. Not only does 0' Dowd offer courses in Spanish but also German and French. In such a small world, being able to communicate in more than one language is defiantly an asset, not to mention all colleges and universities require at least two years of Foreign Language. Bishop O' Dowd offers more than just the two minimum years, but four years in each language including honors and A.P. Teachers such as: Maria Teresa Rodriguez, Rachel Pinnette, Pedro Cafasso, Ute von Doyen, Gerald Shovlin, and many others exhibit amazing skills in providing knowledge that will assist the students Foreign language skills through out their lives. A major part of Bishop O'DoWd's academic curriculum, also known as Seasons of Challenge, is the extensive Mathematics Department. There are over 16 different mathematics courses offered for Bishop O'Dowd students and they each cover a Wide range of information and material to help students develop their skills to take them to the next level of courses, college, and the future. A common statement from the numerous students interviewed about the Mathematics Department is that they all found their classes to be very interesting and informative. With great and interesting instructors such as Ms. Riley, Ms. Young, Mr. Phelps, Mr. Amundsen, Ms. Pinette, Mr. Rooney Mr. Dougherty, and more, who can blame the students?
