Fundraisers Bishop O'Dowd puts a lot of time and effort into raising money for worthy causes. This year O,Dowd participated in four main fundraises. Along with Spirit week came the annual car drawing and raffle. The money raised went to different clubs and sports at O,Dowd. Students were able to indicate where they wanted the money to go. The school also conducted the Annual Food and Toy Drive which was lead by the Campus Ministry Team. The school collected food and toys for the children at Saint Vincents day home. C.M.T. was able to fill a large truck with gifts for the families. It was a very successful drive. Another fundraiser that the school sponsored was Dollar Day. Once every month students were asked to donate one dollar in their homerooms. The money that was raised went to a different cause each month. Finally, there was the Mission Drive C a.k.a. the Penny Competitonj. Where all four classes and the Faculty competed against each other to see which group could bring in the most amount of pennies. The thousands of dollars raised was then donated to missions in Ecuador and Africa. In all these ways, and many others, O'Dowd and itis students become part of the larger community.
