Summer Adventures Over the summer, O'Dowd's students did anything but stay put. Many people took advantage ofthe free time and traveled. There were a few teachers who organized trips abroad. These trips went to places like England and France. In addition to those trips, many members of the Track and Cross Country teams went to running camp in the Sierras to condition for the coming year. Several students went vacationing with their parents to Right: Matt Croda, Vanessa Cajina, Carolyn Backer, Daniela Croda, and Aaren Jackson in Hiroshima. locations near and far. A lot of kids just packed a bag and hit the open road with friends.O'Dowd, s worldliness shines through in the sheer variety of locations people visited. Just a partial list of locations people visited includes: Washington D.C., Chile, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, London, England, Boston, Massachusetts, New York, New York, Stonehenge, England, Oahu, Hawaii, Great Salt Lake, Utah, Reno, Nevada, Mount Hood, Oregon,Yellowstone National Park, and Mount Hood, Washington. Many people didn't have to go far to sightsee. Some of the most interesting places on Earth are right here in California. Some in-state places that people visited include: Donner Lake, Lake Tahoe, Toulumne River, Pinecrest Lake, Trinity Lake, Yosemite National Park, Mendocino, Pebble Beach, Monterey Bay, Los Angeles, San Diego, Death Valley, and Sonoma.
