WHAT AM I DOING HERE? wonders Chris Duncan. Last summer I got a glimpse of what college is like when I spent eight weeks at Harvard University studying marine biology and psychology. The classes were interest- ing, and my professors were both funny and knowledgeable. I've never learned so much so fast. I lived in a dorm right in Harvard Yard. It was great! SUMMER IN THE CITY--NYC Fatima Goss attended the LEAD business program on scholarship held at Columbia University. Thirty students were selected from around the country. For one month we had daily classes about all aspects of the business world Cmarketing, economics, accounting, etc.J, and visited corporations. We also learned interview and public speaking skills. I especially loved sampling New York City life -- jazz and reggae concerts, the Apollo Theater, museums, and shopping. FIVE MINUTES TO CURTAIN. Mindi Ikeda is pictured here with the cast of The Killing Game. For 5 weeks last summer I took classes at the National High School Institute for Theater at Northwestern Univ. My days began at 6am and rarely ended before midnight There were 129 theater 'cherubs' Cas we were calledl from all over the U.S. I loved it! Senior Summer 7 GETTING AWAY FROM IT ALL. Erin Kingsbury stands atop Donner Pass with a fellow counselor for Exploring New Horizons' Outdoor Science School. I worked for three weeks at Donner Lake in the Sierras with a teacher and Il-5th Sz 6th graders. We helped kids learn about the environment through projects and hikes. I plan to continue studying the environment and hope to have a career in that area working with kids.
