The West held an element of mystery to those who had never ventured there, yet to those who were brave enough to set out to an unknown land it provided them with rich and enduring experiences. Each person had his own personal rea- son for making the journey: some were in search of knowl- edge, others adventure, and still others sought friendship. And each pioneers' dreams were fulfilled with their discovery of O'Dowd, a virtual gold mine of knowledge, adventure, and friendship. They stumbled across endless rocks and climbed many tall mountains to reach this destination, and when they finally got here the experiences were so rewarding and enriching that they forgot their long hard days, and pros- pered in the new life at O'Dowd. It is now the Mitre staff's privilege to show you how hard these pioneers struggled to reach the walls that symbolize our opportunities. In this presentation you'll live the old days of the West and be able to understand the rich treasures of freindship and knowledge we have here at O'Dowd.
