As o result of the work on the occreditotion, o greot harmony dnol mutuol respect for eoch other exists tooloy on the port ot the toculty. The students of Bishop O'Dowd High School were very involved this yeor in mony octi- vities ond orgonizotions. It is hoped thot cill ot these experi- ences hos brought dbout o genuine Chris- tion commitment. lt is further hoped thot this commitment will continue cill through our lives so thot more people will be oft- trocted to Christ ond live full lives in occord- once with His teochings. I l if l lHere playing in the faculty-senior game, La Porte indulges his competitive spirit actively as well as from the sidelines. Coach La Porte Notches 10th Year at O'Dowd 1967-68 marks The Tenth year ot Frank La Porte's association with Bishop O'Dowol High School. Although victory on The basketball court is The most obvious mark ot his success-La Porte- coacheol teams have compilecl a 282-57 won-lost recorol during This time-his accomplishments go Tar beyond mere statistics. A ccimaraolerie, an ability to relate to The boys he works with is The quality his players anol stuolents remember. Anol it is This warmth that brings Them back to see him years after They have graduated from O'Dowol. As Coach of The Year, any year, The MITRE salutes Frank La Porte! T Ten years of teaching as well as coaching have brought polish to Mr. La Porte's class room Technique also. As coach, Mr. La Porte shows films to get his point across. Possibly consulting with Father Carignan about what happened against Wilson, La Porte presents trophies at O'Dowd's own Christmas tourney. 9 Rev. Ronald Carignan, O.M.l.
