Minnie Fay (Carol Klinefelter) and Mrs. Irene Molloy (Mary Beth Benson) take inventory at the millinery shop while Cornelius Hackl (Leo Ambre) explains to Barnaby Tucker (Mike Melyon) that there ' s a lot of world out there. Dolly Levi (Nora Ginther) encourages the romance of Ermengarde (Claudia Evans) with Ambrose Kemper (Mark Simaga). 1971 SPRING MUSICAL The Harmonia Gardens Restaurant scene epitomized the high degree of professionalism achieved by both the cast and crew in the 1971 Spring Musical, Hello Dolly. Directed and produced by Charles Breckle and choreagraphed by Phyllis Peyrot, the musical was the result of long hours of hard work and practice. As the play opens, Horace Van- dergelder engages matchmaker Dolly Levi to find him a suit¬ able second wife. As a result of Dolly’s meddling efforts, Van- dergelder’s two clerks, Cornelius Hackl and Barnaby Tucker and two millineresses, Mrs. Irne Molloy and Minnie Fay, real¬ ize that “it only takes a moment to be loved a whole life long.” As the play closes, Horace realizes his love for Dolly and she becomes the second Mrs. Vandergelder. Frank Kish, production manager, Jim Broton, stage man¬ ager, and Mike Dominic, lighting director, aided in making the play a success. 29

1971 PROM “We’ve Only Just Begun, the 1971 Junior-Senior Prom, com¬ menced with the couples arriving at the Sheraton in Chicago. The evening’s activities were organized by General Chairman Barb LaMere, Prom Advisor Mr. Stephen Hronec, and members of the Junior class. In the Grand Ballroom, couples danced to the romantic music of Bob Wilson. Dinner preceded the crown¬ ing of Queen Alexis Menke and King Randy McCambridge. The World Column, at Post Prom, altered the atmosphere with their modern music. For the couples involved, Prom was a unique and memorable occasion. Sue Komara and Dave Comsa share an intimate moment while listening to the music of the New World Column.” Couples dance to Bob Wilson and his Orchestra in the Chicago Sheraton Ballroom.
