20 TURNABOUT A Valentine’s Day setting of heart-trimmed white trees, over-sized paper flowers, suspended hearts, and a frilly keyhole through a heart doorway—this was the Key to Your Heart. Sponsored by the Service Club. Turnabout Night gave interested females the about-face opportunity to ask members of the opposite sex to a date affair. Romantically spaced among the valentine trees outside the doorway were love seats, forming a picturesque garden setting for the young couples. The vast ballroom floor met lively feet dancing to the music of the Premiers. Crowned as Miss Sweetheart during the Turnabout activities was Mary Jean Du-dash. The couples walked, sat. talked and danced. Then the night came to an end. Slowly, the couples walked out hoping to find another paradise like the one they found that night. Come, take the key. and enter into my heart.

ORIENTATION On September 6th, 531 incoming freshmen became members of the student body of Bishop Noll Institute. This day was more than just the start of a new school session. For the class of '71 it marked the beginning of almost a new way of life. On Orienta- 19 lion Day. the freshmen got a glimpse of what high school life held in store for them. The expected amount of confusion and disorder resulted while they located their homerooms, bought their books, and tried to find their way around Noll’s buildings and halls. For the rest of the student body. Orientation Day meant seeing old friends, classmates, and teachers. While the day's activities were carried out. the sophomores, juniors, and seniors settled down once again to being students of BNI. Buying books was one of the class of 71's first activities.
