FOREWORD Y T) “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...” is a most suitable description of the revolutionary change now taking place at Bishop Noll. At this moment we are a part of a thrust of advancement; we are in the midst of progress. We can hear it, see it, feel it with the vibration that rings with each stroke of the hammer, each roar of the crane. Certainly, though, it is a most trying time for all. These sounds, signs of progress, are at times deafening. Inconvenience is the consistent fare of Noll life. Conditions are crowded, facilities limited, but from these arise a new spirit—the spirit of enduring patience, Christian love, and willing sacrifice combined. We, the Marquette Staff of 1963, have tried to depict both sides of a student’s life here, from the dusty window sills in the rooms to the animated faces of the teachers who enliven the courses they teach. We hope we have given you a lasting remembrance, a cherished memory. -f y ce, . • ,
