FATHER JACQUES MARQUETTE (1637-1675) Father Marquette, an advocate of Catholicism, continues to live on and inspire every Noll Warrior now, as he did the Indians of old. The inspiring Blackrobe paved the way to Christianity in the wilderness with his prayers and sacrifices. He died at the age of thirty-eight years, leaving all of his wonderful works behind. His pure character and lofty aims gave him a powerful influence over the Indians among whom he labored. Such should be, and is, our pattern of life. We, the Warriors, also fighting our way under the guid¬ ance and leadership of Father Junk, are trying to spread our faith as Father Marquette so capably succeeded in As Tommy Hawk looks up to Father Marquette, so do all the students of Noll. 2
