Senior Class Off icers In September, 1943, we eagerly awaited our new experience as high school stude nts. The opportunity was ours and it was up to us to prove our worth. In the field of athletics we were very well represented. Besides our regular studies, extra-curricular activities attracted us, for the Bi- Phy-Chem, Tri-Opus and Choral Club had many outstanding members from the class of ’47. Last year it was our privilege to have the school paper printed for the first time. Our big endeavor, the Junior-Senior Prom, ended our third year with another success. Now, as Seniors, we are ready to don caps and gowns; we have reached our ultimate goal for we have proved ourselves to be true leaders. With the joy of remembered success there will remain for us a pro¬ found sorrow that four of our classmates met their death through fatal accidents in our graduation year. Patricia Mold was struck by a car on her way to the tournament game during the Christmas holidays. Patricia Penny, John De Paoli, Michael Brillo, and a sophomore, Marilyn Buckley, were killed when the car in which they were riding was struck by a train. Twelve

Valedictorian Graduating with top honors is Barbara Doyle, our Valedictorian. She is from All Saints Parish, Hammond. Noll has meant more to Barbara than just gaining an education, for she accepted the challenge of our extra-curricular activities and became a member of the Bi-Phy-Chem, Latin, G.A. A., Tri-Opus and Choral Clubs. She also served on the Hi-Lite and Marquette Staffs. Secretarial work interests Bar¬ bara and she plans to attend Busi¬ ness College after graduation. Salutatorian George Obsitnik, our Salutator¬ ian, ranks high in scholarship and leadership. His four years at Noll have been busy ones. The Bi-Phy- Chem claims George as a member, as do the Tri-Opus, Latin and French Clubs. His literary talents were displayed in the Hi-Lite on which he served as News Editor. George hopes to continue his education at Purdue where he in¬ tends to study engineering. He is a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Gary. Thirteen
