That these efforts were fruitful is eyident. lirom the modest enrollment of the hrst years, the number of students grew, until within ten years the annual enrollment was oyer three hun- dred. The first j.,I lLlU'lI10I'l class, in 1974 had eight members, the class of 1935 has sixty. A Hy e-thousand yolume library was built up. No effort or expense was spared in equip- ping, the science laboratories.
