Other secondary pursuits include musical and dramatic programs. field trips, publications, class projects, social events, and sports. However pointless these things may seem. they each have a definite reason, a definite place in the general purpose of education - the training of the whole man. endowed with all his natural and superna- tural faculties. From school we will pass into adult life with its many responsibilities. life will have to adjust ourselves to the social and civic life about us and learn to choose our activities with Christian discernment. If we would be active Catho- lics, we will have to fit ourselves into the animated life of our parish. take on our share of the task of spreading Christ's kingdom. and assume a responsi- bility for the diffusion of truth and peace in the world.
