J ANGELES U N I O R V A R S I T Y ,, LEAGUE CHAMPS L L E Y B A L L The .lunior Varsity Volleyball team had their usual fine season, finishing with a nine and one record. They were League Champions in the tough Angelus League. The team was led b hitters, Nan- c Banken, Terri Liegey, Trisha Hanley, and •Anita Rodriguez, who provided a great deal of ollensive fire pouer. They in turn owed much suc- cess to setters, Jeanine Juge. Loreen Trevino, and Laura Hammerele, who placed the ball perfectly. Diane C ' afaro scored man points with her rocket serves. Nancy Banken, a fine all-around player, was named to the All-Tournament team at the West Torrance High School Tournament. Their coach, Carolyn Quijano, is vers proud of all of the girls. They worked very hard and she really enjoyed coaching them. The rest of the team, Anna Cas- tillo, Jane Durto, Diane Marzanna, Paggy Meyer, Lynn Mountain, and Sue Reynolds were great cheerleaders for the team and gave tremendous support. 76 .J ollc bal!
