The 1979 Frosh Football team finished with a 5-6 record. Their captains were Dave Schaeffer, Carlos Vas- quez, and Marin Mendez. When the team needed a big play, everyone looked for one man to make it, starting tight-end and line-backer, Dave Schaeffer. His one hand grab of Mike Payan ' s pass for the winning touchdown against Palos Verd es, is just one example of the outstanding performances given all year long.
