ABOVE: Jackie Ditzler leaves for Paola. RIGHT: Sister Mildred, Laurie Downs and Barb Fogarty plan future events. LOWER RIGHT: Members prepare Christmas goodies. ln your path lies joy beyond all wealth-the joy of sharing with others. This motto gave the incentive to the twenty-five member Service Committee to show their dedication to Miege and to their commu- nity. Major projects this school year included the talent show, foreign student scholarships, teacher appreciation, hostess service, and breakfast for the athletic teams. Community projects consisted of Catholic Chari- ties food drives, visiting the elderly, and holiday parties for retarded children in Paola. These projects require time, energy and an acute desire to give of themselves. Moderated by Sister Mildred and guided by the leadership of Laurie Downs and Barb Fogarty, the Service Committee once again lived up to its reputation. 18 Service Committee Aids Surrounding Communities
