Preparing a syllabus . . . reviewing work . . . secretly granting extensions . . . forgetting how to run the A-V equipment . . . cleverly splicing broken films. . . coming up with interesting classes. . . focusing on the mind . . . not forgetting the material needs . . . always there to assist . . . offering . . . helping . . . approving . . . screaming that the Study Hall isa place of quiet study . . . spotting jeans way down at the other end of the hall . . . passing by students . . . somehow touching each in a special way . . . laughing at private jokes . . . sometimes joining in on a student prank . . . accepting papers on the last day of the quarter . .-. receiving tons of last minute work . . . always smiling. . .sometimes smiling. . . never smiling? One can always count on . . . a friendly smile . . . a helping hand . . .an encouraging word . . . more than a teacher . . a real person . . . true person . . . a friend.
