Essays, Poetr in Limelight Poetry, essay and short story winners snatched the limelight in the English Department this year. Juniors Loretta Neumann, Carolyn Fuchs. Jim Burke and Kathryn Dudley will have their poetry published in the forthcoming National Anthology of Poetry while Classmates Trudy Morrison, Sylvia Price, Joe Bane and Jane Robinson eopped first, second and third plaees in the Catholic Daughters Poetry contest. Senior Beverly Stephen won the Today magazine essay Contest and also honorable mention for her short story, Feature stories by Kay Cavanaugh and Beverly will be publishedin the July and August issues of lixtension magazine. Beverly also won the American Legion essay Contest. . Freshmen Concentrated on the reading lab while sophomores became avid evaluators of good literature.
