GIRLS MAKE IT TO SEMI- FINALS The 1980 Fighting Lady Miners Basketball Season was one filled with firsts. The 10-9 overall record was the first winning season in the school ' s histo- ry. The advancement to the semi-finals of the AA state championship was a first. The victory over Incline marked the first time the Lady Min- ers had defeated an Incline team. The Lady Miners were led all season long by a trio of Seniors; Sara Bodensteiner, Paula Senini, and Stacey Ting. They were the inspirational factor which led to their outstanding season. To put an end to this super season for the Lady Miners, Paula Senini and Maryann Brennan were named to the AA all tournament and the AA All State Teams. Basketball 59

FRESHMAN IMPROVE The Freshman Basketball Team compiled a very im- pressive won-loss record in 1980. Even though the schedule included AAA teams and varsity teams from the B league, the fresh- men were very competitive and represented Bishop Manogue very well. There were eighteen players and they all played a lot. With the experience they gained, the future could be very bright in basketball.
