NEVADA SSSIS To the Class of ' 81 So often as we go through life we are more aware of our failures and hurts than of our successes and joys. We tend to be more conscious of the F ine and D andies on our report card than of the many B ' s, C ' s and even A ' s; to be more conscious of our losses than of our wins; to overlook how close the scores were and how the games could have really gone either way. We even tend at times to be more aware of our failures before God than of the Thanksgiving Baskets, the Masses, Confessions and Holy Communions in which we said to Jesus, I love you and am really trying to be good. It is because of this tendency in most of us that the Yearbook of ' 81 is so important to each and every one of us, but especially to the Class of ' 81. It is a book of happy pictures and beautiful memories. It tells a story of wonderful people who have worked together, laughed together, cried to- gether, played together and prayed together. It tells not so much of individuals, but of classes, organizations and teams who have grown socially, academically and spiritually. In the years of tomorrow many of you will still tend to be more aware of your hurts and failures than of your joys and successes. In just moments may the Yearbook ' 81 be a way of reminding all of you, but especially the Graduates of ' 81 that each of you has accomplished much in the past, that you have many friends, truly brothers and sisters of Manogue, who love you, that, if you keep trying, the dreams and pictures of today will be the reality of tomorrow, that Jesus will finally say to each of you well done, good and faithful servant; you have shown you can be faithful in small things, I will trust you with greater; come and join in your Master ' s happiness. !
