DEDICATION Because You Were: Untiring in your efforts to help us . . . Patient when we were impatient with regulations ... Understanding when we were difficult to understand . . . Generous when we were inclined to be selfish . . . Kind when we were not so deserving of your kindness . . . We are grateful to you. In the years that lie ahead, when we meet young people who will be like we are today, we hope to remember the virtues you exemplified in your dealings with us. Therefore, we, the first grad- uating class of Bishop Ludden High School, dedi- cate our first yearbook to you . . . Monsignor William J. Taylor.

We, the Class of ' 66, would also like to express our gratitude to our two bishops— The Most Reverend Walter A. Foery, D.D. Bishop of Syracuse The Most Reverend David F. Cunningham, D.D. Auxiliary Bishop of Syracuse Dear Members of the Class of 1966 I am pleased to extend to you my sincere congratulations upon the successful completion of your high school careers. This is a noteworthy achievement , in which your families, your teachers, and your classmates rejoice with you. You are a very special group, the charter class of Bishop Ludden High School. You have grown with the new school, and in a unique way your mark will always be upon Bishop Ludden. I pray that the mark of Bishop Ludden High School will ever be upon you, too. You should be different for the kind of education you have received. The daily contact with priest-teachers, the Sisters of Sant Francis, and dedicated laymen in a God-centered school should be evident in you. And I can assure you, that If you remain loyal to the principles taught you at Bishop Ludden, you will ever be a credit to your families, your teachers, your classmates and yourselves. The motto Bishop Ludden chose for his coat of arms was Justice and Peace . If your lives are characterized by justice, giving to God and to every man his due, you will know peace, here and hereafter. With every good wish to each of you, I am Sincerely yours in Christ, BISHOP OF SYRACUSE
