AMID EXCITED PREPARATIONS for Kenrick's annual May May Queen, Donna Zebrowski, and her Court lseatedl Procession Pat Lobb, Sue Traub, Terry Taphorn, Linda DeMedio, Barbara Mastrolia, Bernie Brady, Nancy Makoid lstandingl Mary Hylan, Pat Falcone, Dianne Hertzog, Trisha Mohan, Maryann Trulac, and Jeanne Tryell take time to pose for the photographer. WORDS OF DEVOTION permeate the auditorium as the students of Bishop Kenrick pledge their love and loyalty to Mary, Queen of May, during the annual May celebration. SEEING DOUBLE and it's very lovely as Susan Traub and Mary- anne Hylan add last minute touches to May Queen, Donna Zebrowski. 2 its How fitting it is to honor Mary as Queen of heaven and earth through her Son. On May 2, 1969, the Kenrick student body participated in a concelebrated Mass acclaim- ing Jesus and Mary as their own. The crowning of Mary by Donna Zebrowski and the act of Consecration led by school president, Phil Tavani, further stressed the Kendrick love of Mary and Christ. May Procession 121

Retreat The most important thing is to be. With these words in mind, the student body enioyed days of recollection at the beginning of September and again in January, besides the days of the usual annual retreat. Father Fitz- gerald, speaking with the underclass- men, and Father Murray, with the seniors and iuniors, discussed the im- portance of our being. This, of course, involves a realization of our dependence on God and a real con- cern for our neighbor. These retreat days have intensified in Kenrick stu- dents a deeper mutual respect and a greater desire for involvement. REVERENTLY PARTICIPATING in the sacrifice of the Mass, Vincent Matalavage, representing the Kenrick community, presents the cibor- ium to Father Murray as the student body sings the symbolic hymn Take our bread. , 5 gi if l1 fz,: f Mmm THE IMPORTANCE OF CONFESSION and the effect it has on our lives become more meaningful through group discussions led by Linda DeMedio, Patricia Cinaglia, Mark Cipollini, and Michael Candelori after their first conference during retreat. FOR THE SUCCESS of this year's retreat, Pat Mohan, Lucy Breslin, Frank Catagnus and George Durante in offering petitions contribute their part in making the students more active in the Mass. TO COMPLEMENT the benefits received by the Annual Retreat, Christopher O'Neill partakes in the sacrifice of the Eucharist.

The Prom Outstanding among the many memories of senior year is the night of the prom. The romantic atmosphere of Over The Rainbow only added to the happiness ex- perienced by seniors dancing and having fun with dear friends. In their elated spirits, seniors forgot all sense of time only to dis- cover that their dream was over all too soon. For the class of '69, the prom was indeed the most exciting and most unfor- gettable event of their school life.
