Yes, the applause is all for you. The spotlight is focused on our newly-organized BKHS Band. XVith new instruments and additional instructors, our dex- terous musicians swelled in number and advanced in their art. Mr. Donald Reinhardt, brass instructor and director of the band, and Mr. Joseph Musumecci, wood-wind teacher, joined our faculty to assist Sis- ter M. Ann Bernadette, l.H.M., with the organiza- tion of the Kenrick Band. Numerous performances by these instrumentalists manifested their talents. A significant event, indicative of the promising future for these artists, was their participation in the Christmas program, their first group appearance. Mississippi Suite, Ole Man River, and the Syn- copated Clock are melodies that will linger in our memories as fond recollections of the April Musicale. Felicitations to our teachers and band members for a very successful first year. 1 'fi ,. -2 , ww.. - .s Senior musicians realize that constant practice is necessary if they are to sound the perfect note.
